XTRM Sports Network:
First, decide the size of your wakeboard slider. For less experienced riders, a small sized wakeboard slider is the way to go. A 4 foot long wakeboard slider is a good option.
You will need the following materials to make it.
- PVC internal unions
- Plastic drums
- Screws
- Plywood
- PVC cleaner
- PVC
- Cement
- Toggle bolts
First, build a frame for holding the drums. The material should be of 2X4s. Keep length and breadth 12 and 6 feet correspondingly.
Now, box the drums. All four corners should be prepared such that the barrel should not fit all through the way.
Next, it is time to add supports for the beam.
When you are done with it, attach angle braces to it. It will be useful to prevent risky right-left movements. Mount it to the PVC. Next, join the two lengths. You can use scabs also.
Finally, attach the PVC. Use good quality toggles bolt. Use them at a distance of four feet. The nuts should face the direction of the tubing runs lengthwise. Add the rear slider.
Now, put the front section to the rear. Leave no gaps. Apply braces, throughout the arc.
Now, your slider is ready. All you need to do is, paint it, personalize it and its ready to ride!
